50 Worst Transfers

Javi Martinez to Bayern Munich must rank up there as one of the worst transfers in the last few seasons. €40m for this guy? Ridiculous.

Torres to Chelsea 50m
Andy Carroll to Liverpool 35m
Veron to Utd 30m

Are three of the more expensive disasters.

Milosevic wouldn’t even be in the top 20 worst Villa signings in the EPL era

Given
Hutton, Davies, Knight, Warnock
Sidwell, Curcic, Hadji
Harewood, Heskey, Balaban

Collymore, Kinsella, Kachoul, Stone, Ireland, Delph, Baros, Nzogbia, Reo Coker, Makoun, Thompson

He was one of the stand out players against Dortmund two weeks ago

I may have mentioned it before

Surprised Marco Boogers £1 million move from Sparta Rotterdam to West Ham United hasn’t been mentioned.

He has absolutely nothing to his game except physique and ball retention - players like Martinez and Busquets are merely water carriers and would be absolutely redundant if they were forced to play outside the one tactical system they know. They are a cancer on the game.

20 years on from Graeme Souness signing Ali Dia.

Inter have done a few clangers in recent years.

Giving Cannavaro to Juve for Fabian Carini.
Selling Bonucci for €700k.
Getting rid of Coutinho for €10m.
But throwing Zaniolo in as a €4.5m makeweight in a €38m move for Nainggolan may turn out to be the worst of the lot.

Zatlan for eto was a great bit of business.

They gave Pirlo to Milan in exchange for a few nobodies too didn’t they?

They would have got a decent fee for Pirlo relative to the market at the time.

Seedorf was much worse as they swapped him for Francesco Coco.

Alexis Sánchez to Man Utd from Arsenal.

He should be imprisoned.

300k a week is it? - I remember @dodgy_keeper and @anon32894817 giving it massive licks at the time.

500k a week I think.
