Anyone remember the beatbox? Used to be one RTE2 on a Sunday morning and also on 2fm at the same time. If you were mad enough to have a radio and a TV in the same room youâd often mute the TV and listen to Ian Dempsey on the radio to make sure the radio and the TV were simultaneous - mad stuff altogether

Jaysus some great memories there with those 1987 ads⌠I remember nearly every one of them. I suppose that came from only having two channels and no remote control at the time, you were practically tied in to watching the ads. They really packed a load of ads in aswell, loads of real short ones rather than todayâs little mini tv programmes. Like an ad break on Setanta today.
I always remember thinking with that Timotei âyou can wash your hair as often as you likeâ. Who the fuck would want to wash their hair more than theyâd have to? (ie once a week when you were havin a bath)
