A new low for Israel. How low can they go?

Snide response. What they’re doing is really brave. There’s a chance it might actually do some good and they’ve put their live at risk for it.

I’m talking about the Israelis and their description of the boat

Ahhhh, my apologies mac.

With the Israelis they actually are risking their lives as the Israeli heavy gunners may decide to “clear an aid corridor”

The Israelis murdered ten people that tried to sail in aid in 2010. They are literally risking their lives. Not to mention Israel’s systematic torture of the people they abduct.

I know. That’s my point.

Why don’t we send the LE Niamh over with aid.

Why doesn’t anyone do anything? If we did, the Israelis would call it an act of war and attack. We’d be sending our ship and crew into an attack and they could well be killed. It’d be illegal but there’s no curbing the Israelis until the EU and US apply pressure to them.

If this boat inspires twenty others to sail at the same time it could get interesting. A hundred more then. What if some some get through. Then maybe you get a coalition of willing states to press that and decide they’re going to go and land aid. Wishful thinking probably.

One thing getting captured does is force the governments of the citizens captured to engage on their behalf.

We could stop selling their war bonds ?

Don’t think anything positive will happen until the US decides to stop supplying weapons to Israel. They are complicit in this action and no amount of sailing boats will matter a jot, unless the US decides to intervene.

We should, stop granting them a licence, yes.

I would say we are even obliged to do so understandable the genocide convention. Paschal’s mealy mouthed defences on this have been really weak.

The EU is the Israelis biggest trading partner and has the ability to apply a lot of pressure, but won’t, because of a handful of borderline fascist governments in the EU.

The vote on Israeli bonds just about to be taken in Leinster House. Governor of the Central Bank is of the opinion that they can’t unilaterally ban the bonds without EU sanctions.

At least another 60 people killed today trying to get food in Gaza while Netanyahu’s son is about to have a big wedding with 1,000 guests.

It passed??

The phrasing of the question was confusing

The answer isn’t.

Word in west Limerick is that the Israelis are going to launch an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities in the coming days. The US have begun advising embassy staff to leave the wider region, and various military bases moved to the highest state of readiness.
