Actually, this shows up the hard Brexit-style contradiction of the thread title, as the Jackson/Olding trial is in both the UK and Ireland.
The Eurovision Song Contest is another offender in this regard, given that three of our winning entries have been sung by people who are from both the UK and Ireland.

The English do a great market. Any decent sized town has a market selling great local food at honest prices. Here any halfwit that produces a lump of cheese thinks he’s an artiste.
They’ve also been on top of their game at running small breweries which make the best of good ale, stout,lager etc without getting all fancy and foody about it.
That’s a very odd tale. It’s been dismissed, but it seems unlikely to me that these are all accidental. Also seems unlikely that they’d all drown in that ditch. I don’t know what to make of it.
