Hereās an idea, if cyclists contributed tax to the use of roads and insured themselves for road use, there might be a budget to accommodate them.
who contributes towards the upkeep of roads mate? are you confusing a vehicle emission tax with a road tax (which doesnt exist)
It goes to the revenue and is allocated. All taxation is centrally allocated and distributed.
So you want the entire road infrastructure to be changed for cyclists, but cyclists shouldnāt directly contribute to it. Ok, mate
It seems that in the absence of the last Transport Minister @BenShermin youāre making a move on the portfolio.
what goes to revenue?
Income tax pays for roads, we have been spending billions on roads for years, it doesnt solve anything in busy centers, public transport expenditure and better cycling infrastructure is what is needed for Urban areas
Alan seems to be a right geebag. It looks like he drives past constitution sites just for something to give out about
Alan is a hero
I would hate for my hydrocarbons and carbon monoxides and the like to be emitted in the pristine rural areas in the ring-roady outskirts of town, so I like to bring them to the urbanites instead where the locals have signed up for them.
Cyclists are good for the environment and the economy. Motorists are bad for both. You clearly havenāt a clue here.
Cyclists are good for the economy are they? Hahaha
Yes.
Yeah they pump a fortune into air for their tyres
Do you drive down to the shop to buy penny sweets? You must be keeping the economy going.
I pay tax, insurance, diesel and for servicing and repairs. I think I pay tax on everything on top of that except for tax.
Oh and a car costs about 20 grand. So thatās petrol stations, mechanics, garages, car salesman etc all getting paid.
But you buying a puncture repair kit is better for the economy
Traffic clogs up the roads and costs the economy millions. Bicycles do the opposite. You do the math.
Bicycles also make it easy to identify cunts.
Cars and machinery transport the vast majority of people to their workplaces and/or do the work.
Iāll give you the environment but the you took a big shit on the economy argument
Yes and itās a terribly inefficient way of transporting people and a terrible drain on the economy. Youāre getting there.
is this true?
