+1
I know of 6 votes evenly split between the 2 & thats just my inner circle of posters alone
the fairest thing to do is combine their votes into a joint candidacy
A coalition? This could force Farmer to scurry to TTK & WITJ. A whole new element to the vote!
yep- its democracy mate-if dancing baby & the dunph can agree to share the position,it could be theirs

Unless Farmer can garner 50% of the vote (or agree a coalition with another competitior) then a Dunph/DB coalition is the obvious choice. The only thing left to figure out is some way of deciding who should get power if both manage to form coalitions?
A poll perhaps?
Ah here can we start this again with a first two past the post system & each of the two selecting a vice president of Celeb Spotting before the final campaign.
the people have spoken- hopefully the coalition negotiations are open for all of us to see
I’ve given this some thought since. Why wasn’t this mooted before the vote? Bandage gave everyone the chance to make their suggestions. Seems a bit odd to come up with this sort of talk now though.
It seems obvious that the successful candidate will be elected without having received a majority of the votes, thus ensuring at best a very weak mandate and a general lack of authority.
I would also add that I find it somewhat odd that a self proclaimed republican like Bandage would cravenly adopt the British first past the post system.
This is fast becoming a farce.
farmerinthecity’s diginity in the face of these ridiculous and unfunny (Fianna Fail comment aside) attacks has shown that he is the man to lead us forward in all matters relating to AOTCST.
farnerinthecity will prevail.
i would like to make it known that if farmer requires my help in forming a coalition, then i am open to negotiations.
I must say the dancing baby inclusion in this race has made it riveting viewing. Thank jebus there was someone out there to give farmer some kind of fight.
Fuck this. I’ll make the decisions.
I would urge DB Not to enter upon any such talk of coalition. To the victor, the spoils alone.
+1. I would be devastated if we started revisioning here. 1/4 of my vote was for TDB, it would grieve me deeply to know it went somewhere else.
a farmer/witj alliance would never work but the votes may force this upon us-what a sham
Nonsense.
If I didn’t run, Dunph would have romped home and vice versa…the split vote is killing both of us
I’m holding my vote until nearer the close of the poll.
Don’t want to waste it on a no mark like Dunph if it could be put to better use.
Rocko- Just got a text from the kerry flyer & fermanagh dave-they seem to have problems logging in-can you look into it and forward their login deatils to me so I can pass them on- might as well send me gavins too-Ill send him his details
I doubt the Leitrim vote would have moved outside the county boundaries. Never doubt the strength of one so small.
