Was reading it today for the first time in weeks and had a good laugh, some lad asked on the Electric Picnic thread, “Where’s shannonsider?”, batter burger replied with “About three feet up his own arse”.
It’s a shame Liam was so unsuited to moderation of it, he was hostile, self-pitying and incredibly childish. He just loved talking down to people. No one was ever entitled to an explanation or even notice why they were banned or a thread pulled. He was much too involved in posting on it and then couldn’t take any of the stick that entails. He was brilliant at taking the high moral ground on things like funerals and deaths and stuff like that. If a fella merely asked when had a match been rescheduled for after a fella had died or something he was met with a “How dare you, have you no respect etc etc” The closure notice is typical of his style, woe is me, ye’ve no idea how hard everything is, respect my authority etc etc.

No way does it cost 15k to run, what is the most basic of sites out there. He’s crying out for someone to sponsor the site and “keep it running”.
Haven’t been on there in years but know a few lads that are on there every single day posting away.

I also remember her telling me that Cahill had spunked a load of money in trying to get it off the ground just before the dotcom bubble burst.
