total head the ball. Went mad altogether if you disagreed with him and used the butt of the hurley right away.
His use of his column in the irish times to settle old scores from online arguments must have been among the most impressive meltdowns of a lad handed an opportunity to build a career in his chosen field in journalistic history[/quote]
Was that the whole strange way of entering a room thingy?
Quinngate was arrigles waterloo
Does he still write for the Irish Times?
I think madame got rid of him after one season
He was liable to open the gates to litigious hell literally at the drop of a pen, he was an excellent analyst
What name did he write under for the IT?
Why dont you just tell us?
His magazine an sliothar was also very good, some great interviews in it, I was in US when it first came out and it was a great read
Do you know if TJ Reid ever perused it?
His column was the Citeog side. He was without peer as a hurling analyst. He knew that and so did everyone else which was the source of most of the rows. He was also impossibly well up on culture, history and fine living generally.
It seems like something he’d be really interested in.
+1, thought firefox in irish was a little bizarre too.
TFK blossomed soon after photobucket gate and the midst of bannings that were handed out. the suspicion always remains that someone in TFK was behind it.
Surprised that at the time, it didnt go viral. It really could have been curtains for the moderator’s career in Ireland.
few others dont like him either, spamming cunt apparently http://www.michele.me/blog/archives/2006/11/an-fearr-rua-are-spamming-scum/
a man with many connections it seems, has his own website I just realised.
I believe TJ Reid was a big fan as well
I remember it now. There was certainly a level of detail in his analysis that was a step above a lot of the standard commentary. Certainly better than John Allen’s woeful column which most weeks regressed to “I’ll make a crap poem about hurling” …
TJ Reids Sliothar Mag a zine
