I’d be very nervous for tomorrow. Clare will have zero fears of coming up to Croker and having a serious cut off it. The Limerick form lines arent holding up to huge scrutiny and we certainly can’t afford to be at 50% accuracy tomorrow. We were very workman like against Waterford and an abysmal Tipp before scraping over the line in Cork. I feel it’s a game we’ll either win by 8 or lose by 1.

Limerick are obviously favourites and I do think (hope?) we’ll probably win but I suppose it’s worth considering why that’s the case and what assumptions may be wrong.
A few questions:
Clare were impressive against Dublin. Are Dublin any good?
Clare were well-beaten by both Limerick & Cork but created a few decent goal chances in both games. How different would those games have been if those had been scored?
Will the players who were injury doubts for Clare actually start? And are they fully fit?
Similar for Limerick- will their injury doubts play?
Will Clare play a sweeper or try to go man-to-man again?
Will Limerick’s shooting accuracy be better than it has been?
Can Clare get massive performances from Kelly, SOD, Duggan & Rodgers all on one day?
I don’t know the answers to most of those questions but they’ll all have a bearing. Clare were very good against Tipp & Dublin particularly but were the opposition any good? They were definitely off the pace against Cork & Limerick.
I think Cork played quite poorly in the second half of the Munster final, yet Limerick only beat them by a point. And today, they were beaten out the gate by Galway. So that’s a cautionary note but we have actually played Clare already.
My thought would be if Clare operate the same tactics and leave acres in front of the FB line that we will win. But I’m assuming they will change that massively, which makes it a very different game.
Looking forward to it, hopefully we get over the line by hool or by crook.

Normally I wouldn’t get nervous in the lead up to a big game, but I am at 8/10 on the nerves scale now. Clare will bring everything and we have to be at 90% to win. Anything less and we’ll be bate.
