If you are discovering Dream Pop then you should explore the second half of the Cocteau Twins discography. Victorialand, Blue Bell Knoll and Heaven or Las Vegas are all classics of the genre. Lis Fraser gets most of the credit but Robin Guthrie is a soundscape genius.

Ah lads. That’s one of my favourite Irish albums. It was a travesty that they didn’t make the breakthrough. It didn’t help that they had an absolutely incompetent manager, one Peter McDowell, cousin of Michael.
