The football correspondents from the Irish Indo, Irish Sun etc are getting increasing rattled by the support being shown to John by the grassroots football community. A series of sarcy and pithy tweets emanating from them on a daily basis. Fresh life might be breathed into the story today with Sport Ireland appearing before the Oireachtais Committee and the FAI/Dela delegation up next week.

I must say - the bastards are getting to me and i’m starting to feel sympathy for Delaney — I dont rate John, but if youre gonna take a shot at the king you best not miss - the cunts are digging in now just hoping that the mud will stick.
