In the same way it was disgusting how Shinners tried to cancel those Orangemen over the Michaela Harte song - including the loss of their jobs and destruction of their ability to ever get another job - so it is with the Galway/Helen Lovejoy brigade’s wish to destroy Tiernan Kelly’s life forever.
We are all to blame for what happened on Sunday. We are all accepting of that blame, and yet totally unrepentant. Because we all enjoyed it, and we wish for it to happen again.
The most shocking part of all this is that the Connaught football final replay was being played in the month of August. Back 3 years before the advent of All-Ireland quarter-finals in football I suppose.
Shows the incredible difference social media has made. I never even heard about this and the court case happened right in the middle of the championship in a year Galway won the all Ireland with two of their star players! Imagine the massive deal it would be now. Unreal
Sure if they do it fast, they’ll fuck it up and he’ll get off and there’ll be more meltdowns. He’d probably get off anyway. Hopefully he knows better than to appeal it though
