All Ireland Gold or now to be known as old matches on d’tele

Johnny laid out there with a dig from Paudie Lynch

Watched that the other week as well, Plunkett Donaghy was fucking atrocious in the second half.

so I have gathered , some rated him very highly such are the reviews

There are people who know a thing or two would suggest he’s the best Cork hurler since Ring, the esteem in which he was held by a certain generation was one of the factors that made the last strike so tough to swallow

We really feared JBM. A marquee player.

A good overhead fielder, decent workrate but not the accuracy of his colleague Matt Connor who was a RR footballer.

Johnny fell off a trailer of turf the previous year limiting his appearance to minutes in the AIF so for comparison purposes let’s say he was a
Ford Cortina type operator…,

Clare v Offaly 1998 in Croke Park on now. Into the 60th minute, only 8 mins to go.

The Biffos are seething.

They should have been. Would have definitely won it but thankfully justice prevailed in thurles
