All Ireland Gold or now to be known as old matches on d’tele

It still looks like a straight red.

Tommy Walsh took it well enough .

Live by the sword and all that…

To be fair he was a hard little fucker . He could give it and take it . He probably got latitude from refs because he wasn’t the biggest .

A right niggly fucker, you could only watch with grudging admiration.

Every trick in the book .

While I disliked him intensely when he was playing the recent Laochra Gael program on him changed my opinion. He was about 5ft 6. No more than 11 stone and he was not fast. Yet he became an all time great of the game.

You’re overstating all those. He’s about 5’ 2. And 6 or 7 stone. Smaller than a jockey.

He was neither 5" 6 or 11 stone. He was 5" 9 with a wirey frame and far closer to 13 stone than 11 stone.

He was around 8" 5 one day in Thurles when he was using @glasagusban’s mate Breeney as a step ladder. He caught some ball that day the cunt.

5ft 8 according to Wikipedia. No weight given. I met him and no way was he 13 stone. Mind you I didn’t think he wad 5ft 8 either

I never said he was 13 stone. I’d say around 12 and a half which is far closer to 13 than 11

It certainly is. Thanks for putting me straight.
