All Ireland Hurling Final 2018

Itā€™s unquestionably the greatest single All Ireland ever won. Only the 3rd county after Waterford (1959) and Clare (1997) to beat Kilkenny, Cork and Tipperary in the same year and on top of that Galway and Waterford, last years All Ireland Champions and beaten finalists.

I thought Hannon was brilliant yesterday. Twice in the first half after weā€™d hit bad wides he stepped up and steadied the ship with a huge score.

Flanagan was excellent too and really set the tone for the day. Let no easy ball out and was always a target for the out ball. He worked himself into the group. A few mistakes after doing very well to win possession, but in the main he was superb.

Who?

A vile article. Gavin is some cunt.

Iā€™m so so proud. Of this Limerick team, and of the two lads who are bringing back All-Ireland senior medals to the parish (and another in the backroom team). We havenā€™t produced a whole pile of intercounty hurlers over the years but there is a new breed coming, led by the likes of Barry & Kyle.

I think the first time I saw Kyle play was at an U-8 blitz in Pallaskenry; he was head & shoulders above everyone, even at that age. He always has been; and to see him develop as a hurler over the years to culminate with a man of the match performance in an All-Ireland finalā€¦ unreal! Heā€™s just a born winner, a man for the big games. And he only turned 20 a month ago!

4 points from play, okay he hit a couple of wides too but his work rate, his tackling, his hunger to hunt players down and win turnovers; his aerial ability. I thought he was phenomenal.

I just watched the Man of the Match presentation, looks like half the parish was in the CityWest (and a few neighbouring parishes also cc @TreatyStones @Julio_Geordio). But the whole team; these are now legends of Limerick hurling. So proud.

Robbed from social media- Kyle, his brother (a former Limerick senior hurler himself) and his mother. Think it sums up the joy that all of Limerick are feeling.

He chased back and hooked a GY player around time he got the three quick points. Saved a certain score. Was as important as any point in the heel of the hunt

A serious engine on him.

Itā€™s telling that Barry Kelly isnā€™t around anymore.

Tipp beat Limerick, Cork, Waterford, Galway and Kilkenny in 2016. Unfortunately they didnā€™t get the chance to play Tipp so I see your point

The GOAT. single handedly turned what should have been a ten point hiding into a Linerick team falling over the line. Limerick will enjoy it all the more for that.

he hit 3 balls in open play, you are caught up in the hyperbole

We wonā€™t you know.

He only struck the ball 3 times in open play?? Were you doing the figures yourself?
