You canât pick an off form Tony Kelly and a loose ball hurler in David Fitz in the same half forward line - we saw what happened in the Munster final where the Limerick half back line had all day on the ball.
You also canât drop Aidan Mc ahead of either of them given his free taking and workrate in the second half v Kilkenny.
If Taylor starts it is for TK or Fitz - but I think he will be held in reserve again til early second half.
You canât drop mccarthy. Did it from play and frees last day. If Taylor starts Iâd leave out Kelly or David Fitz either would be a great sub to bring in.
If a fully fit Tony Kelly isnât deemed good enough to start an All Ireland Final, Croke Park may as well be burned to the ground as it would serve no purpose.
Fitzâs form seems to be a slightly downward trajectory as the season has gone on is it? To win they need him to catch fire as much or more than Kelly.
He had a very prominent league but has yet to have a decent half of hurling in the championship let alone match. Just far too happy to let things pass him by, is still getting scores but just too passive with and without the ball. Had the odd 10 minute spell to give you hope where he gets a few balls off the shoulder and does damage then reverts.
It is obvious with Kelly that he still isnât right from the injury but at least the graph is trending up, for Fitz it is the opposite.
Yeah that was my impression. Given how the season has gone I donât think Fitz would respond well to being dropped. Maybe Lohan can have him pumped up for the final. Heâs the definition of an enigmatic player. He doesnât tackle or put in work like hegarty does but on his day he has the potential to catch fire and have a huge scoring impact the same as hegarty can. Clare need him to have one of his good days.
