Fuck it Rocko we badly need to bring back the dumb ratings. Or even a special 'delusional out of his simple mind on hatred’one for Geoff’s post above. It went from stats to a hunch that Galway threw the Leinster match to psychoanalysis on the Tipperary team. You really couldn’t make it up. He furnished stats … and then dismissed them as not relevant… Really Geoff ? Make a better case for Galway to win tomorrow will you.

You’re very sensitive to any criticism of Tipperary.

Galway have a physicality and size that I dont’ believe Tipperary will be able to handle. Kilkenny have dominated Tipperary over the last decade or so largely because they have physically bossed them around. Limerick even did it to Tipperary in 2013 and 2014. Tipperary have very skilful and tidy hurlers if they are allowed to play and things are going their way. Put them under pressure and they tend to be windy and go missing.

He’s been patchy enough this year, but Joe Canning is by still some distance the best hurler who will take the field tomorrow and I expect him to deliver a match winning performance tomorrow. Cathal Mannion has been in outstanding form all year as well. Galway look a lot more solid at the back now. They’ve conceded just three goals in five games and the goal conceded to Dublin (replay) and Laois were conceded at a stage when the match was already well and truly won.

We really do need to bring back those dumb ratings.

A good chunk of us ballsy guys backed Galway yesterday. I must credit myself with totally dismissing them last year but identifying the subtle but crucial differences/improvements that make them a force to be reckoned with now.

They were steeped in luck to win yesterday. Tipp were dire and still were level after 70mins. Galway shouldn’t have finished with 15 men either. But it’s done now. It’s kilkennys title now.

As much as I expect Kilkenny to win, this Galway team could throw a spanner in the works.
