@maroonandwhite, do you expect more Galway supporters to wear county colours to the replay or will the fact that maroon doesn’t go well with other colours continue to count against you?
Limerick will walk this.

Hi ‘brian’, i dont expect a noticeable amount of maroon to be on show in offalys principle town tomorrow. You seem to have misunderstood my original thesis, its not that maroon doesnt go well with other colours, i was making the point that jerseys at matches are more of a roaster/childish thing to do. Ill put it this way, no adult male i know would go to a game wearing a sombrero or dressed as st patrick in galway colours, as other counties notably have supporters who do.
Also a secondary aspect of my hypothesis was that the colour just doesnt stand out in a crowd environment, its not bright or noticeable, this leading at times to a possible misinterpretation of the attendance figures of galway fans at games.
My initial posts were written while i was in heathrow on a lengthy layover. I was tired, pissed off and coming to the realisation that i was leaving a friendly, scum free environment, canada, for scobie heaven, ireland. This was confirmed to me by the family of limerick travellers who were having a shouting match nearby, the topic of which being whether pints needed to be imbibed to get them through the one hour flight to shannon. It was dispiriting.

Jersey’s are worn at matches all over the world in every sport… I was largely of that opinion too until princess bought me the Limerick green one last year, which is unreal…What do you make of the white Limerick goal keeper jersey?
Pal ive been to an eagles game and worn the jersey with pride, for sone reason its not the generally done thing in galway hurling circles. Nothing wrong with it ive a stupid amount of jerseys from various sports and plenty of times i wish our supporters were louder. I like the limerick goalie jersey, i think the green on the regular limerick jersey is too bright.
Daithi Regan thinks cheddars exit and comeback was all a ploy to fool Offaly. Had a discussion with Brian Whelehan about this last night.
Could be explained by the fact that all our games are away, and if one wants to enjoy the fruits of the capital city, wearing a bright purple super macs jersey is far from an ideal start.
I was back in Clare last night and ended up in Ballina playing a game of handball. The Galway Camogie team were playing a challenge match there, surprised to see that they were using the senior footballers/hurlers team bus. It is a fair auld rig.
I assume a sponsor pays for it or do the two county boards chip in

That’s the worst post I’ve seen on any website in a long time.
