Just won two corporate box tickets for Sunday!
Not just in Cork. I can’t remember such an ambivalent build up to an All-Ireland final in manys a year. Its almost as though the whole country knows its nowhere near the best two teams in it and consequently they ain’t buying into it.
After such a wonderful championship it’s strange the build up has been so muted. Cork getting there has probably taken the gloss of it for some people and it would have been a much more highly anticipated affair had Dublin made it.
There’s possibly something in that-it is the quietest build-up to AI final I can ever remember.

Good preview here. Kind of backs up my view that Clare have been a bit blessed with the wastefulness of the opposition in their last two games. Also:
We’ve looked at how Clare rode their luck somewhat so we must say the same is true of Cork, who can partly thank the dismissals of Henry Shefflin and Ryan O’Dwyer for their two most recent wins. Kilkenny looked battle-weary and jaded in the quarter-final but there is a much stronger case for the Dubs winning had both teams stayed with 15 men.
When you’ve got 2 quiet managers who don’t court media attention its bound to happen
I’m the miserable cunt, yet you are the one delighting in there being (supposedly) a low key build up.
Look maybe the people I know are a bit more excited than the people you know.
I hope Sunday isn’t too enjoyable for you. God knows how grumpy you’ll be if we win.
I’m not delighting on anything, merely making the observation that this is the lowest key build up to an All Ireland hurling final in Cork in my lifetime. Other than you being a total numpty, I’m at a total loss why you’d take offense at such a statement.
What the fuck would you know about it being at home in Cork? Would you not cop on and listen to the man who is right in the thick of things out in the australian outback.
Very true Mac-add to that the quiet, introverted nature of your average Corkonian and nouveau Clare bandwagon hurling fan and a low key build-up is to be expected.
True, the Cork lads would be too cute to get enthusiastic in advance and the Clare lads are busy polishing their fiddes and banjos in anticipation of the post match sing song. Its to be expected really.
They’re going mad so they are in Clare
But I didn’t take offence, I just thought it was funny I heard the complete opposite. And going by the picture been plastered all over twitter alot of the clubs, villages, suburbs and towns are going all out with colour. Talking to my folks and mates on FB etc there seems to be alot of excitement.
From a media point of view I have never seen the coverage for a Cork match like it, it’s absolutely unbelievable. Guys everywhere trying to break down the game tactically, 5-6 articles a day about either Davy of JBM. To be honest I think its great, and good for the sport and the people of Cork and Clare. I hope we play Waterford in next years final, that’ll be unique as well.
Again, seeing as you are a negative boring cunt you probably hang around with similar people and no doubt your extended family are probably close enough to the same. So I don’t expect you to look for or get too excited. We’re all a product of our environment after all.
Corcaigh Abu.
I take it back, looks like Caoimhaoininaoin was right:

Why is Dan the Man there?
They wanted a photo of a pony and a donkey
Wahey!!!
They have both been quite active an both are removing the limelight from the players.
Gardiner really had a sneaky dig at JBM in that article saying the tactical battle is really between Davy & Cunningham.

What a cunt… I haven’t read the article but that’s disgusting carry on. He will surely get plenty of stick on and off the field for that?!
