Why are GAA refs so shit?
The ref has kept Cark in this game in the first half. The referee in the Tyrone and Mayo game pretty much did the same for Mayo in the first half of the semi final two weeks ago.
That is the best one sided performance I’ve seen from a ref in a long time
This game is 2 or 3 points closer than it should be thanks to this ref.
Cork are fucking blessed to be only 2 points behind-Clare much the better team. With Clare’s superior fitness, you would think Cork need to be ahead in the final 10 minutes. Gavin has rode Clare a couple of times.
Patrick Kelly looks to be a superb goalkeeper.
I thought that was a cracking first half. Clare have played all the hurling but you’d worry that they should be more than two up. Definite momentum shift in the last five minutes. Honan hasn’t got much after starting well. Conlon has also faded right out of it.
It’s there to be won now.
To be fair normally I think Gavin is a decent ref but he had a shocker in that half.
Wouldn’t blame him for the non sending off, he didn’t see it. The two umpires were about three yards away and bottled out of telling him it was a strike and straight red card therefore.
Cork have got a few points from ridiculously soft frees, straight chop on the Clare defender and frontal charge by the Cork player being the two obvious ones.
Cork are going well and should be ahead really only for cynical fouling from the Clare backs.
Now would be a perfect time for still disgruntled Limerick people to post up a load of libellous material on the Clare Hurlers forum. The lights are on but nobody’s home.

To listen to the boys in the studio you’d swear Cork were being hard done by the ref.
Reminds me of one of the KK Tipp finals from a few years back where Tipp did all the hurling in the first half but only went in at half time a couple of points up. I can see Cork winning this if a few of their forwards get the finger out. Horgan and Harnedy to a lesser extent carrying them at the moment.
