All Ireland SHC 2014

Its all about the club down here pal. The stuff that really matters :stuck_out_tongue:

Cork seem to play off the cuff a lot - if they could add a gameplan/style of play that was designed to get Horgan and Harnedy on the ball they will take beating. Horgan is developing into the best forward in the country.

If Cork beat Waterford having that game should give them an advantage going in against Clare.

Yet again this year there is the nonsensical situation where Tipp or Limerick have to wait six weeks from semi final to Munster final.

Kilkenny - Galway in Leinster will be interesting as everybody expects Kilkenny will be back. Wexford may feel they have a chance against Dublin.

Wexford have to get over the winner of the round robin group first. Anybody can beat anybody on any given Saturday or Sunday in the Leinster Championship.

Leinster Hurling, the winner of 6 of the last 8 All Irelands has come from it after all

Even Offaly?

Offaly team:
Dempsey
Wynne
Hanniffy
McDonald
K Brady
G Healion
Parlon
Ryan
Mahon
Dooley
Kenny
Egan
Carroll
Currams
Bergin

Interesting ploy by Offaly manager, Brian Whelehan, by playing star players in unexpected positions. One of best full backs in country at centre forward, aging but still classy half back/midfielder at full back, top goal poacher at wing forwardā€¦

are you saying its Brianā€™s fault Offaly are shite?

He isnā€™t the root cause but he certainly hasnā€™t helped

Iā€™m saying he makes them shiter.

a change of senior management wont help offaly I am afraidā€¦starts at u8, an if they work hard at it theyā€™ll be back senior in 12-13 years. There are no short cuts or ā€œgood groupsā€ anymore, its systematic hard work for the smaller population counties like Offaly, Laois, Antrim, Clare, Wex etc
