Well done to Tipp on their effort. O’Riordan is some bit of stuff. McShane was brilliant for Tyrone. What was the ref at at the end?
The refereeing of the last 5 minutes was some joke. Utter farcical stuff. Ball in play for less than half the time, and mostly because of the ref, Tyrone didn’t have to do the time wasting. Ridiculous end to it.
Just astonishing. Shouldn’t have been an issue mind given the foolish frees Tipp missed, but so be it.
I wouldn’t fault Tyrone for killing the clock, I’d expect Tipp to do the same.
But that ref was a disgrace. Cuntish carry on.
Tyrone win another U21 All Ireland with a victory over a side outside Munster’s traditional big 2. Hopefully Tipp go on to do a bit better than Limerick did subsequently.
At the end of the day I think Tyrone were thoroughly deserved winners. They made it tough on themselves at the end and could very easily have rued the goal chances McGlone and McNulty had spurned earlier. Hopefully that win will give the seniors their swagger back.
A great game of football. Hard luck to tipp but the future looks bright for tipp football

Tipp got some soft enough frees off him throughout the match though so i wouldn’t be blaming the ref for Tipp’s failure to get over the line. Not sure what went on at the end but it looked much of a muchness and would have been uber harsh to award a free in i think.
Pats on the back ain’t worth a fuck to them Joe.
I don’t care how much overtime TG4 were, not to analyse that last play is shameful.
He sent a fella off!!
Wanker
In fairness he played about 5 minutes injury time but there should have been another minute added on for the time wasting during the original four minutes.
I think this was the same ref who covered our qualifier game against Sligo last July and he rode us rock solid in Markievicz Park that day.
If a player wins a free out, then his team mate commits an off the ball foul in the same area that merits a red card then the original free out should be cancelled and the ball thrown in?
A sense of injustice mightn’t be a bad thing for those lads to carry on from the game mind you.
Missed frees killed them. Lack of options off the bench hurt them too. Serious sickener after beating Cork & Dublin.

The ball wasn’t in play for about three of those minutes.
Sense of injustice?
They should have had one of their main men sent off after 20 minutes in full view of the ref. The ref was a jokeshop and he was making bizarre decisions all over the shop but Tyrone were deserved winners, should have been 4 or 5 up at half time and missed two gilt edged goal chances.
Well who asked him to send a fella off? As i said it was much of a muchness in there and a card nor a free was merited IMO. Could the fella have went for giving lip maybe.
Ah sure that’s ulster football for you, a cross between the ref /the bench/ rugby/ and a little bit of running in between.
I’d say that mcshane fella will shop some slaps in his career if he carries on with his late antics. He’ll get a boot into his foxy face sooner rather than later. That’s if he’s not taken by an RTA or dodgy drugs above in the UK. like most of the Tyrone thugs.
Ref was a joke and it’s embarrassing to be a gaa man and have that standard of official in an all ireland final.
For the record the better team won but Tipp can feel hard done by for final few mins.
