Allianz Hurling League 2019

Given tipps sponsor coughed for Gleeson we can presume he’ll be number one?

He’s retired two years mate

P Maher at his peak instead of Harte is the only Tipp back who’d get in the Galway side that started the AIF

I thought he was back again or at least coming back?

No

The likes of mcinerney is useless.

The money only came on condition the neighbor and canvasser Sheedy got the job. I’ve no doubt Gleeson will be back. The Kelly’s are calling the shots now

They don’t. Limerick were lucky that three of the Galway backs were injured in the AI final.

He wasn’t fully fit last summer and was hurler of the year in 2017.

No Chin or Rory O’ Connor on Wexford team for tomorrow. We’ll be doing well to keep it respectable.

Thought Tipps full-back line was all over the shop last year. Did Clare completely play into Tipps hands by leaving Paudie the run of the place at full? Hard to make out from half a game on TV.

The Galway backs coughed up 3 goals to limerick. Due to simple pressure. They aren’t related to good backs. The only team in the last 30 years to cough up 3 goals from 3 losses of possession inside their own half in all ireland final.

Shows ya the worth of January hurling. 2 weeks ago Clare hammered Tipp, who looked miles off the pace.

Didn’t see the game but you’re completely playing into Tipp’s hands if you’re playing a sweeper

Harsh sending off and the two rapid fire goals the difference. Wouldn’t be overly disappointed, awful night on a heavy pitch with a lot of inexperienced players they battle til the end.

David Mc yet again not commanding enough at full back. Clare had started the second half well and without Galvin as the free man were opened up for the two goals. Aidan McCarthy showed well but looked like a lad straight out of minor. Golden battled well and is worth more game time and Guilfoyle and Ryan Taylor have plenty to offer.

Browne, Cleary, Conlon, Podge and Duggan grafted hard second half.

Jason McCarthy, Malone and Deasy were all very disappointing.

Tipp worked hard throughout and are a big side well able to mix it and were deserved winners. Thought Lyons was poor throughout, while it was physical there wasn’t a dirty stroke in it yet he must have shown a dozen yellows and 1 red. Golden and Conlon booked for innocuous stuff then Duggan has the jersey being pulled off him and takes a forearm to the helmet and no booking.

If you are arguing Daithi Burke isn’t a good back, you need to find another sport to commentate on.

Daithi, Hansbury and McInerney were all injured, Daithi in particular was severely restricted. You can blame the Galway management for playing them, but arguing that Galway don’t have a good set of backs is silly.

Typical Galway excuses. Burke is good but after that the Galway backs are very average. They won the softest all ireland of recent history in 2017. Ye idolise an ego maniac in joe canning who costs his team year in year out.

What’s the team?

Score in the Dublin and carlow game??

Clare were blown up an awful lot last year for a side that only won four of their eight championship matches and lost three.
