Alright sort of the year 2011

Why TASE? Did he play for one of the Cork clubs over the years?

He’s a bit of a local legend in Longford alright. Involved in Special Olympics as well i think.

I can see the attraction for you.

Rodgers is going to run away with this I’d say:
BRENDAN RODGERS was once headhunted by Jose Mourinho - but the Swansea boss says Tommy Burns will always be The Special One.
Rodgers watched his side beat boyhood idols Celtic 2-0 in Wednesday night’s friendly at the Liberty Stadium.
The Northern Irishman spoke of his pride at hosting the Hoops and told how it was Parkhead legend Burns who put him on the path for England’s top flight.
Having been forced retire at the age of 20 due to a knee problem while at Reading, Rodgers was appointed head of youth development by then Royals boss Burns.
Nine years later Rodgers was plucked by Mourinho to head up the Chelsea youth set-up and two years later was made reserve team gaffer.
Rodgers has gone on to be a boss in his own right, with spells at Watford and Reading before taking over at Swansea.
But the 38-year-old owes it all to Burns and revealed he’d love to follow in his footsteps by bossing Celtic one day.
Rodgers said: "Celtic were my boyhood club, with the likes of Danny McGrain and Tommy.
"Tommy was a hero, a great man and a friend of mine. He was a special man and saw something in me early on. I’ve been lucky to work with some of the world’s top bosses but I got a lot of human qualities from Tommy.
"He had time for everyone and made me see you can be a good guy and a good coach. We’d talk for hours. When I was at Chelsea I’d visit him.
"I last saw him in August 2007. He took ill the next February and before I knew it he’d died, God bless him.
"At his funeral you saw the respect he had from all sides.
“He was a wonderful football guy but an even better person. Tommy twists, Tommy turns, Tommy Burns.”
Rodgers also paid tribute to Celts boss and compatriot Neil Lennon, saying: "He has shown incredible character and intelligence.
“It’s a tough job managing Celtic although all my family would love to see me there in the future. Martin O’Neill and Lenny would have walked to be in charge there and I’m no different.”
Ah lovely. He’s on Goals on Sunday at the moment with a Fenian glint in his eye.

I know a Brendan Rodgers, even the name makes me laugh.

Alan Joyce, the current CEO of Qantas has a disturbing Dublin accent, but he has so far this year, beaten bowel cancer, saved one of the world’s leading airlines, sued the absolute crap out of Rolls Royce and managed to have his remuneration package increased by 71% to $5.1 million.
A shining example to the Irish diaspora, I raise my hat to Tallaght’s favourite son, tremendous work altogether
