True gaels

In fairness, I always knew Tottie was a fĂorgael behind all the bluster, they all are

I don’t like it with when Ulster men are blanked and sold out by Free State bog dwelling bureaucrats.

TĂr Eoghan abĂș mate. You should go along and lend your support to the boys on Saturday evening, Northern Ireland defends its own.

I’ve always found Mickey Harte a very humble, honourable and charismatic person. It’s for that reason I’ve always wished the Red Hand well.

James McClean

A good strong Catholic GAA man, entrenched in both pillars of Irish community. Fair point Totti.

Ferguson offers support to Vita Cortex workers

Vita Cortex workers, who have been staging a sit-in at the plant for almost two months, received a surprise phone call yesterday from Alex Ferguson.

The Manchester United Manager contacted employee and lifelong Manchester United fan Jim Power to express his admiration and support for the stand being taken by the workers.

The workers have been occupying the closed-down plant in Ballyphehane for over 60 days, in a dispute over redundancy payments.

It is understood Alex Ferguson told Mr Power he had been involved in the apprentice strikes in Glasgow in 1961, and that he understood their plight.

Alex Ferguson is ineligible for this thread.
