Not overly bizarre, granted. But youâre giving the loon a bit too much credit here. So he packed his suitcase with guns before he left home. Hardly the surgical planning of a strategic mastermind.

About as intelligent as saying imagine living in a country where people eat dogs.
The reality is, if you have the money, you can pretty much buy anything these days, weapons, any drug of choice, human organs, even humans. New machine gun sales have been banned since 1986 in the US, doesnât stop people getting them.
About the only comment of any consequence since this shooting happened, from the grouip Sandy Hook Promise, a support group made up of the families and friends of the 20 Kindergarden kids and 6 teachers killed by a nut job with legally purchased semi automatic assault style weapons:
Over the past five years, we have witnessed how we generally respond (or donât) as a country to mass shootings like Las Vegas. Itâs usually a cyclical conversation, starting with debate between banning assault weapons or arming more Americans, moving then to a focus on mental illness and âgood guys vs bad guysâ and finally to policy proposals that may relate directly to what occurred, but possibly not, and no federal legislation changes will pass. By the end of next week this story will be almost gone as if it never happened, even while those most impacted are still reeling from shock and grief.
We are asking Americans, in the name of these victims and to protect those still living, do something â letâs move from rhetoric and focusing on just âthe gunâ to more focus on âthe shooterâ and steps we can be taking as a country to identify and stop them before itâs too late.

They get it.
About 1% of the male population are psychopaths. We have the technology now to scan brains and identify psychopaths. Their behavior in childhood is also very predictable. The only answer if people were being serious is compulsory brain scans, but the liberal outrage about personal freedom would be deafening.
Guns donât kill people. I know itâs a cliche, but Timothy McVeigh didnât use a gun, nor did the 9/11 terrorists. Psychopaths will and do find a way.
