American Mass Shootings / Stabbings / Car Crashes/bridge collapses

:grinning::grinning::grinning:

You’re all over the place again. Previously you were praising psychiatry, now you say it’s bullshit.

Previously you said psychology was bullshit, a couple of weeks ago you made a massive backtrack on that.

Basically, you don’t know your arse from your elbow.

The INTERNET never forgets

Psychiatry, unlike psychology, is based on science. Very dubious science however, and much of it pseudoscience. You are out of your depth here pal, back off before you embarrass yourself further.

The article he referenced above is written by a psychologist which apparently is not science despite it being cited by our pal as scientific evidence. It is published on an online forum where the authors have to pay the cost of publication, presumably because the mainstream journals won’t publish. Despite saying that the issue is a US one with no relevance to the rest of the world the article he cites in support of his contention is written by a Welshman and an Englishman.

All over the place doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Yin to the yang

This is where you got your “info” about the Arizona shooting, isn’t it? @anon7035031?

Here you are. “The association between SSRIs and convictions for violent crimes remains significant for individuals aged 15 - 24 years, but became non significant among older indivisuals”.

Why do drug manufacturers put warnings on SSRIs regarding the danger of suicide and violent actions?

What have you found on google now?

Have you trouble finding your glasses? Again, total failure on your part to debate the facts.

What facts.

You posted up a bizarre claim that all school shooters were on SSRIs.

When pressed on this you posted a discredited report prepared by the Scientologists that said that 90% of school shooters were on SSRIs.

When pressed on this you posted a short twelve year old article from a trade paper referencing extracts from a longer article that we haven’t seen that references some evidence of violent side effects of SSRIs, but so far as I could see didn’t refer to school shootings.

When pressed on this again you then repeated the same exercise only with a different trade paper referencing a different article.

You are now trying to shift the argument from all school shooters are on SSRIs to there is some evidence of violent side effects with use of SSRIs.

You seem to have an unhealthy obsession with defending big pharma on this question…

Why do big pharma put warning labels on SSRIs highlighting the known side effects of suicide and violence?
Answer the question.

I am not arguing that SSRIs cause everyone who takes them to become suicidal or go on killing sprees. However, what the science says (and the mainstream media won’t by and large report) is that among young people aged 15-24, when brain development is still very active, there is a significant link between the use of SSRIs and convictions for violent crimes.

The Swedish study is from a highly respected Medical Institute, and unlike most medical studies was not funded by big pharma.

You said that all school shooters were on SSRIs. When you find credible evidence to back up this claim come back to me. Otherwise stop annoying me.

I most certainly did not. Do you have trouble reading or with comprehension?

I said all US mass school shootings were carried out by mentally ill individuals on SSRIs. If you disagree please find an instance where a sane individual carried out a mass school shooting, as apparently you think walking into a school and killing as many people as possible is normal behavior.

Here’s a list of mass killers and the medications they were on.

Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Columbine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold’s medical records have never been made available to the public.

Jeff Weise, age 16, had been prescribed 60 mg/day of Prozac (three times the average starting dose for adults) when he shot his grandfather, his grandfather’s girlfriend and many fellow students at Red Lake, Minnesota. He then shot himself. 10 dead, 12 wounded.

Kip Kinkel, age 15, (on Prozac and Ritalin) shot his parents while they slept then went to school and opened fire killing 2 classmates and injuring 22 shortly after beginning Prozac treatment.

Luke Woodham, age 16 (Prozac) killed his mother and then killed two students, wounding six others.

Michael Carneal (Ritalin), age 14, opened fire on students at a high school prayer meeting in West Paducah, Kentucky. Three teenagers were killed, five others were wounded…

Andrew Golden, age 11, (Ritalin) and Mitchell Johnson, aged 14, (Ritalin) shot 15 people, killing four students, one teacher, and wounding 10 others.

TJ Solomon, age 15, (Ritalin) high school student in Conyers, Georgia opened fire on and wounded six of his class mates.

James Wilson, age 19, (various psychiatric drugs) from Breenwood, South Carolina, took a .22 caliber revolver into an elementary school killing two young girls, and wounding seven other children and two teachers.

Matti Saari, a 22-year-old culinary student, shot and killed 9 students and a teacher, and wounded another student, before killing himself. Saari was taking an SSRI and a benzodiazapine.

Steven Kazmierczak, age 27, shot and killed five people and wounded 21 others before killing himself in a Northern Illinois University auditorium. According to his girlfriend, he had recently been taking Prozac, Xanax and Ambien. Toxicology results showed that he still had trace amounts of Xanax in his system.

Finnish gunman Pekka-Eric Auvinen, age 18, had been taking antidepressants before he killed eight people and wounded a dozen more at Jokela High School – then he committed suicide.

Asa Coon from Cleveland, age 14, shot and wounded four before taking his own life. Court records show Coon was on Trazodone.

If you want to debate individual murders, whether on school grounds or elsewhere, that’s a different topic.

a lot of Americans are on some sort of medication, its normal for them

One in six, or almost 20%, of Americans are on some type of psychotic drug.

Whatever about prescribing them to adults, using children as guinea pigs in a big clinical trial funded by big pharma is borderline criminal. The actual evidence demonstrates that for most people, a placebo is as effective as an anti-depressant.

Ritalin isn’t an SSRI.

I’m aware of that. It’s almost always prescribed with an SSRI for ADHD in children however, so if a kid is on Ritalin they are most likely also on an SSRI.

ADHD is pretty much a made up mental illness, even the guy who came up with it admitted it was a fictitious disease. Why is it that mental illness among children was virtually unknown 50 years ago and now 20% of children in the US are being diagnosed with mental illness and prescribed drugs that actually rewire their brains?

Simple aul video. Sums up the sorry situation.
