I found all that ‘to Arthur’ stuff hard to stomach, the lack of local brands in pubs is mostly down to Diageo paying pubs not to stock competing products
I agree with that alright. Very rare that I’d be only having a few beers though. I try not to drink too often but when I do it’s all or nothing.
I think it’s a bit sad that in a country where drinking is a national sport most people don’t care about local brews or about beer/ale in general and are happy to imbibe ghastly American or European beers. You’d never get that in France. Diageo can go fuck themselves.
