AS Roma 2012/2013

That was some collapse, we were really good in the first half and it was a question of how much we would win by, but whether we ran out of gas or just got complacent the second half was unacceptable. The defence will probably get the blame but I think it was midfield where we were exposed. Pjanic was shocking, Tachtsidis and Florenzi both has good games but Tachtsidis tired badly and runners kept coming from midfield. I think we badly missed our tactical midfielders in Bradley and De Rossi. Destro was also very poor up front.

The first goal I’d pin to Balzaretti/Marquinho, it was their area of the pitch and they just stood off and let the cross come in. Piris was poor for the second goal, again we were asleep, looked like Stekelenburg just let the ball roll in. The final goal was all Stekelenburg’s fault, he should be claiming those or he should be letting his defender know he’s going for it, he did neither, it was calamitous. Balzaretti was also very poor for the third.

As much as I am disappointed, I am still hopeful for the future, this is a young team and lessons will be learned. I still have the utmost confidence in Mr. Zeman.

Calls for those Lazio animals to be hit hard. Unlikely to happen, but you’d have to hope that eventually they’ll be driven out. A horrendous outfit with the worst fans in civilised Europe.

Not Roma related.

Totti and Osvaldo are out for Sunday’s match with Cagliari.

relevance?

er Bomber Destro - vivi a Roma? Come mai che sei un tifo di Roma?

Anche Pablo Osvaldo e un pezzo di figa no?

Game is off today. We could yet be awarded a 3-0 win as the match was meant to be played behind closed doors due to safety concerns with the stadium but the Cagliari president went ahead and told the fans to attend the game anyway. There were worries that there may be crowd trouble if the fans turned up and were refused entry resulting in the postponement.

Never a dull moment in Italian football.

hai, il Bomber. Are you living in Rome?

Used to go to a few Roma games when I lived there.

+1

the president must be a headcase

I think it’s a prerequisite that you must be a headcase to own an Italian football club.

After keeping our first clean sheet in a 3-0 victory away to Cagliari at the weekend, we host Sampdoria at the Olimpico tomorrow. Totti, De Rossi and Bradley return but Osvaldo still out. We will then play Juve on Saturday night.

Was hoping Stek would be dropped. Pjanic has joined the injury list.

Florenzi is a cracking player.

We’re playing well but really should have showed our dominance on the scoreline by now, we look vulnerable to the counter though. Tachtsidis is some find, he’s an extraordinary passer of the ball. Lamela also playing well.

Lucky deflected goal for Napoli against Lazio in tonight’s big game. 1-0 after 22 mins.

Totti, 216. Grazie capitano!

Samp down to 10 men, Maresca sent off.

Totti has been outstanding so far this season, he’s a certainty for Serie A player of the year if he continues this for the rest of the campaign.

Totti scoring against Samp gives no better reason than to post a video of the greatest goal in the history of calcio:
