I made a huge error of judgement and though it’s more than a little embarrassing that I strayed from the righteous path I’m happy to make amends. I’m reverting to supporting Roma and this time I will invest every ounce of my heart in my beloved football club.
TFK AS Roma Supporters Club will be holding an EGM to discuss this issue and whether to allow Rocko readmittance.
Excellent news. I hope my strong posting pedigree on other threads, my keen radar for breaking news in Rome, my tactical acumen and my humble apologies will work in my favour.
I’m Bill, Roma is my Hillary and Juve just a silly dalliance with Monica. I should have known better, and I have no real defence. Other than to say I’m sorry for those I hurt and I commit to Rome forever more.
Manchester United seem ready to release Alberto Massacci for a return to Serie A with Zdenek Zeman’s Roma.
The right-back had been poached from Empoli in 2009 as a 16-year-old, when he was still too young to be placed under a professional contract in Italy.

Now 18, he has struggled with injury during his time at United and it’s reported he will be released this summer.
Roma are thought to be making a proposal to Massacci, who are revamping under new Coach Zeman.
Apparently we are also close to signing Alexander Merkel from Genoa. If reports are to be believed, Moussa Sissoko, Leandro Castan, Merkel and Dodo are all deals which are at advanced stages although no official announcements have been made.
Looks like we’ve nabbed Borini in the blind auction, €4.9m to Parma’s €4.2m.
Sweet. Securing a fine player and didn’t pay over the odds either. Lovely outcome.
Apparently we’ve passed on the opportunity to sign Marquinho for €4.5m, I was impressed my Marquinho last season and I’m surprised by this.
Looks like we’ve came to a compromise with Fluminense and agreed a €3.5m fee for Marquinho. We also look set to bring Florenzi back from Crotone and Bertolacci should return from Lecce - hopefully we can now rid ourselves of the likes of Perrotta, Brighi, Pizarro, Simplicio and Greco now and make 1-2 sizeable investments in midfield.
In defence we have been linked with a lot of players, Castan and Dodo seem to be by far the most concrete of the players linked with us. Rumours have circulated that we are strongly chasing Ogbonna but I’d be skeptical of these links. Cicinho and Cassetti have been released, hopefully we can also get rid of Heinze and Jose CUNT Angel. No real substantive links for the right back berth, Van Der Wiel and Debuchy have been paired to us but it doesn’t seem more than idle speculation.
In attack we seem to intent of signing Destro, Osvaldo has been heavily associated with Malaga this summer. I really don’t want Pablo to leave - I rate him highly.
That is all for now lads.
Marquinho deal now agreed. €2m this summer. €1.5m next summer.
Good stuff, Baldini is proving himself to be a shrewd negotiator, €1m saved on Marquinho and €2.1m saved on Borini.
In fairness! What age are you? Six?
Sky Sport Italia are claiming we have reached an agreement with Chievo for Michael Bradley - €3.5m and Leandro Greco. The Castan deal is also said to be as good as done. A new name to prop up in the last few days is Alexis Rolin, a 23 year old Uruguayan centre back.
Bradley did very well in Serie A last season and I’ve been impressed by him when I’ve seen him playing for the US, not sure if he’s Roma class though. Plans beginning to take shape it seems, we now need to start moving players on.
Dodo has also confirmed his move is very close to completion.
Corinthians full-back Dodo, nicknamed ‘the new Roberto Carlos,’ has confirmed a transfer to Roma via Twitter.
“Tomorrow I will be in Italy. I’m going to Roma,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

“It is a club that proved it believes in me, despite my difficult moment after the injury. I will work hard on the field and I’m very happy with this decision.

“A new phase of my career begins now.”

The 20-year-old suffered a knee injury and only made his return to the pitch in May.

It’s believed a deal had been struck back in March, when the Giallorossileapfrogged Manchester United in the race to sign Dodo.
United had tried to sign him three years ago, but FIFA blocked the transfer as he was under-age.

Francesco has his photo taken with a young fan, the young fan seems to be wearing a loyalist t-shirt however. :shakefist:
the state of the young british fan in that picture- he is all dewy eyed cause he is meeting his hero- id probably be the same myself but id like to think Id hold it better than that lad
We have just signed 12 year old Gianmarco Nesta, nephew of the great man.
Dodo had his medical yesterday and his move should be completed soon. Apparently Castan is pretty much a done deal, €5.5m and a 4 year contract, he will formally complete his move after the Copa Libertadores final second leg on Thursday according to many reports. We’ve also been linked with Panagiotis Tachtsidis, a 21 year old Greek midfielder owned by Genoa but who spent last season on loan with Hellas Verona in Serie B - he caught Mr. Zeman’s eye and from what I hear this will happen. I’m also led to believe that Bradley is very keen on a move to Roma and we just need to agree personal terms with him now.
Turns out the young fan is actually Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. :o
As Roma begin their pre-season camp this week, captain Francesco Totti has expressed his hopes of doing well under Coach Zdenek Zeman.
The chain-smoking veteran tactician returned to the Giallorossi hotseat this summer after more than a decade away.

Having impressed with Pescara last term, leading them to the Serie B title, expectations are that Zeman will continue Roma’s ambitions for an attractive, effective style of play.

Totti, who played on the left-hand side of a three-man attack in Zeman’s first spell at the club in the 1990s, shares in the growing enthusiasm for his return.

“We are ready to go and play a great season,” he declared to Roma Channel on Tuesday.

“How have I found Zeman? As always, he smokes and talks little, but when he does speak his words are important, heavy.

“I know Zeman well. I in particular have great desire and great motivation, as always.

“We hope to have a good year. With him I think that the strikers have more chance of scoring goals. I also have this opportunity and will look to exploit it.”

Whilst on holiday this summer, Totti bumped into Lionel Messi, something that along with Italy’s progress at Euro 2012, he took time to recall in his interview.

“I was in a restaurant in Ibiza, Messi came to say hello and asked me to take a picture, but if I had seen him first then I would have done the same thing.
“Italy played a great European Championship, but, eventually they came up against a team much stronger, superior from every point of view, so it was difficult for them to win.”
