AS Roma 2012/2013

Really poor header from Dodo and Cuadrado strikes a great volley off the post, the ball came rebounded out to him and he connected with a diving header but Goico made a stunning save to turn it out for a corner.

Gonzalo should have been sent off there, hope Destro is able to continue. :shakefist:

Taddei sent off.

Dodo and Cuadrado sent off for some handbags.

The two lads scrapping down the tunnel as well.

We’re there.

We are close to signing a 50% stake in Bari’s 21 year old midfielder Nicola Bellomo for €2m. Looks like Marquinho will be on his way to Gremio and this lad could be his replacement, Milan and Inter are also supposed to be interested in him.

Any preference on the team tonight, lads?

Pjanic, Osvaldo, Dodo, Taddei and Lamela will all be suspended for the midweek game against Inter so that will mean Destro and Totti will be our only available attackers for the Coppa game with Lopez away on international duty. Balzaretti and Piris will also be our only options for full back. With fatigue in mind I think I’d opt for Osvaldo over Destro, I thought Destro was outstanding in midweek and worked ever so hard, so we will need him fresh for Inter in the Coppa and seeing as Osvaldo is unavailable for that game we should start Pablo tonight, I think Totti has to start as well. De Rossi played well against Fiorentina so should keep his place, I’d also expect Pjanic to start in midfield tonight which leaves it between Bradely and Florenzi for the final position. I’d like to see Dodo in for Balzaretti also but I don’t see Zeman going for this one. Piris has been playing very well lately as far as I’m concerned and Taddei is too much of a weak link to start.

Inter are without Cassano and Milito tonight which is good news for us, I’m expecting a win.

Probable teams:

ROMA: (4-3-3): Goicoechea, Piris, Marquinhos, Castan, Balzaretti; Pjanic, De Rossi, Bradley; Lamela, Osvaldo, Totti. Subs: Stekelenburg, Burdisso, Dodò, Taddei, Florenzi,Tachtsidis, Perrotta, 7 Marquinho, 22 Destro. Manager: Zeman.

INTER (3-5-2): 1 Handanovic; 23 Ranocchia, 26 Chivu, 40 Juan Jesus; 4 Zanetti, 21 Gargano, 19 Cambiasso, 14 Guarin, 31 Pereira; 18 Rocchi, 8 Palacio. Subs: 27 Belec, 77 Di Gennaro, 6 Silvestre, 42 Jonathan, 55 Nagatomo, 16 Mudingayi, 17 Mariga, 20 Obi, 24 Benassi, 41 Duncan, 82 Bessa, 88 Livaja. Manager: Stramaccioni.

The Corriere dello Sport are reporting that we will sign Bellomo this week, they also claim we are on the market for a right back with Santon, Cassani and Isla the names mentioned.

The intro to tonight really whetted the appetite, disappointed not to see James Richardson hosting this. Nice to have James Horncastle in the studio however. Mark Errrrrr Errr Hately on the other hand.

Lamela - Osvaldo - Totti

The best attack in Europe.

NOT CRAIG BURLEY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

:shakefist:

Very good start from our boys.

Tearing Inter apart down our left side.

Very close offside call against us there, great run from Osvaldo and a perfect ball from Florenzi.

Jim Proudfoot is a tool, he thinks Pjanic is left footed. He has said some ridiculous things tonight.

Guarin is a big worry for me tonight, one of the top midfielders in the world right now.

That’s Dave Farrar on ESPN with Burley.

:o

Dave Farrar is a great commentator, he must be drunk.

PENALTY FOR ROMA!!!
