This is a very poor Inter side though
Uninspiring stuff so far. The game’s crying out for Pjanic. Inter have had a couple of half decent chances in the last few minutes.
I think Nainggolan got the touch on that cross to put it into Destro’s path so correct offside decision after the latter’s effort hit the post and rebounded off Handanovic back into the goal. It would have been against the run of play.
Destro has been utterly useless tonight. Lazy and hardly trying. Nainggolan is having a very good second half. Great save by Handanovic from Pjanic a while back. Inside the last ten now.
Strange by Rudi to leave out the excellent Pjanic tonight. Our only really concerted spell of good play coincided with his introduction in the second half and we had a very positive 20-minute spell where we created openings and had decent chances.
Nainggolan was at the heart of our best play too and did brilliantly to create the best chance when Pjanic was brilliantly denied by Handanovic. We also missed the attacking thrust from Maicon and (to a lesser extent) Dodo.
We have most of the required ingredients - reliable keeper, solid at the back (17th league clean sheet according to BT Sport), power (Strootman) and grace (Pjanic) in midfield, unpredictable flair (Gervinho) and genius (Totti). As mentioned before, we lack a genuinely outstanding number nine finisher. Destro simply won’t do. Rudi knows it. I know it. The other supporters know it. The owners need to release funds to ensure we get a top quality striker in the summer.
Strootman has come off injured for Holland tonight. Looks like an ankle injury:(
Just a knock. Rudi confirmed he’s in the squad for tomorrow’s game in Naples. Totti is still absent, however.
Just back from Limerick in time for the big clash. Very happy to see Destro left out. He was an embarrassment here in the cup recently.
Strootman is fucked here. He’ll have to go off. Ankle injury in midweek but this might be knee. Worrying that he crumpled into a heap with nobody near him.
Brilliant save by De Sanctis. 
That could be the end of Roma’s season if Stroots is gone.
A cruciate knee ligament injury for Kevin Strootman. He’ll miss the World Cup. Devastating news for everyone who’s posted on this thread.
