Ask The Runt about cooking

Smashing thread, it could be everything the ravenous thread wasnt, where all you seem to get is lads waxing lyrical about fucking oven chips

To my knowledge there was only one occasion where we had a healthy discussion about oven chips over there.

Dunph, I wouldn’t waste your valuable time conversing with that clown

Your knowledge is poor. I’ll gather up the posts referring to oven chips when I have more time.

Fucking oven chips I ask ya.

You’re right. But still it’ll be amusing to see him try to find numerous examples where we have talked about oven chips, like he has claimed. Tell him search away and i look forward to his findings.

They might have been mentioned but I cannot recall anyone “waxing lyrically” about them. I suppose one of his sources told him this http://www.subzerosiam.com/forum/images/smilies/wank.gif

Yea, good one. Try to save the simpleton all you can you clipe, it wont do any good.

Guys, how can I get the very best taste out of pork chops?

Cook them you fucking idiot.

I’ve a McCain in my head listening to you and your objection to oven chips.

Pork chops are a tricky one to get right in that you don’t have the option to leave them rare, yet a couple of minutes too long and they are like rubber. I generally throw on some seasoning ( I like Cajun) and grill them for about 6 mins both sides

Cajun and natural yogurt are very nice with some grilled pork chops. Otherwise get some stuffed pork chops. Apple or bread stuffing.

Runt, can you provide me with a recipe for a homemade pasta dressing/light sauce? I normally make my own tomato based one but I’d like to try something different.

A dollop of pesto is nice, you can add a spoon of some light philly to that also and you get a nice creamy taste. A table spoon of each would be light enough cal wise

-obviously you are melting the philly into it.

I don’t know any off hand, I don’t eat a huge amount of pasta, and if I do it’s a tomato based sauce like yourself.

You could perhaps try proper Carbonara (i.e. without the cream)?
