Sad news indeed. How are the children bearing up? Runt has probably told them a wild yarn about an inter-galactic team of terrorists and the dog died defending the house.
I havent told them yet. The young lad wont be bothered but the older girl will be devastated. She has a real way with animals and the two of them clicked instantly. I was always worried about how the terrier would react when the children arrived but she was unreal with the them.

What type of dogs does your neighbour have?
Terriers as well. 3 or 4 of them.

The dogs would of had a pack mentality. Would not even keep 2 dogs.

My father had a jack russell the pure spit of her for 20 years. A savage dog altogether only she got as fat as a fool in her later years

I had a dog from the summer of 2003 right up until April 2017 who died of natural causes. A little terrier who would frighten the shit out of strangers but was so kind and gentle to those who knew him.
I can’t bear to look at dogs since and will never own another.
I’ll never be lucky enough to have one like him again.
