Get a greyhound that hasn’t lived up to training standards.
Love long walks, good with kids, shed very little hair and they won’t be put out living outside once in good conditions.
Save one of those to fuck

Brother over for dinner with his bird. Dog was manic all evening, going mad at something outside. As the brother leaves, dog bolts out the door into the darkness, taking off after a fox or something.
Long long night looking for her, no sign. 4am give up the looking, try in vain for sleep. Back out looking again. WhatsApp groups, Facebook groups etc in the area, guards to keep eye out etc.
1pm said we go again. Find her trapped down the side of construction site. Had she barked once we’d have found her last night in the dark.
The fucking relief is palpable.
