yea - we have been now for a bit but it looks very fking expensive for a family of 4
i was only in longford twice
- stopped there en route to westport in a macdonalds in the town in april 2018 - had driven thru 45 mins of “L” roads from navan thru to Fore in westmeath - castlepollard and you eventually pop out at edgeworthstown i think - ure fairly cut off there - not reccommened- castlepollard is a grand spot thot and the castle there is nice - i think we were at a sheep shearing competition there in june 2016 on a very hot day and drove by lough leane on the way home
- at a match in 2007 - century homes park is on a motorway outside the town and a very depressing venue- they used to play at Abbeycarton back in the day when EMFA were in the LOI
we tend to keep it local in january as days are short
yesterday we went for a walk in Tara as it was a glorious day

Its daylight robbbery. You would gwt 2 weeks in a camp in france for price of 4 or 5 nights there. Load of extra spend there too for activities then.

yeah we saw that allright and i thought it was an error but a 3 day weekend in august was a grand!! …
anyway i really must update the sunday drives thread cc @Bandage as we are thinking of heading somewhere next weekend
i must tell ye about our visit to clonmacnoise as well that saw us not talking to each other for the guts of a week but we did eat in a very nice steakhouse in athlone on the way back
its unreal in clonmacnoise - you look accross the shannon and you are in roscommon - i love that you know - thats a quality drive seeing a new province in one day
