Murray 2 sets up on Kyrgios.
Nick the Greek the better player in the 2nd set but Andy used all his experience to hang in and pinch it 7-5 in the tie break.
I watched the first set before heading to work and Murray was well on top, he looks in good form. Surprised that Kyrgios didn’t get a set. Pity that Nadal got knocked out I would have liked to see how Murray would get on against him.
Murray is playing well. I would have taken him to beat Nadal in that semi final had materialised. Nadal is on a downward trajectory. Of the 5 Slams he won outside of the French, 4 were won in his peak years of 2008-10. He’s had the game on the clay to get over the line in the French for the last few years, but the gap is narrowing there as well and increasingly he’s less of a force on the hardcourts and at the Championship. Nadal will be 29 by the time the French Open comes around and like Federer, there’s every chance he might not win any more Slams.
Berdych will be a tough proposition for Murray. He actually leads their head to head 6-4. He hasn’t dropped a set all tournament and is unbeaten in 2015. Is Berdych the only player who’s beaten Nadal, Federer, Djokovic and Murray in a Grand Slam?

Doesn’t Berdych have Murray old hitting partner/coach working with him now? If so it will be interesting to see how Berdych takes on Murray?
Andy Murray beats Thomas Berdych 6-7 6-0 6-3 7-5 to advance to the Australian Open Final.
An all US final in the woman’s between the big 6 ft 2 grunting Floridian and Serena Williams.

What did she say there?
I saw a little quip on twitter regarding Andy Murray:
The Great Briton now advances to his 4th Australian Open final. Of course the Scot has lost the previous three of them.
“Fucking have it, you Czech fucking, fuck” - Kim Sears.
@tazdedub, why did Murray sack that Spanish chap who’s now Berdych’s coach? Was there any statement issued at the time?

Probably just felt he needed to change things up. I doubt it was anything malicious in it. He got rid of most of the old team at the end of year.
Britain’s Andy Murray said it was a very intense first set and people say things in the the of the moment that they regret later
Whats to regret?
Stan takes the 2nd set 6-3 to level it up.

Always got the sense that Judy can’t stand her.
Why can’t she be more like Mirka?
Tight 3rd set now. Djokovic will be doing his nut letting Wawrinka back into it after he broke him at the start of the set.
Novak breaks to take in 6-4. Stan is just making too many unforced errors. Fancy Novak to close it out in 4.
3 break points for Novak for a 3-1 lead in the fourth set. All I can hear on the commentary is “its wild from Stan”.
Wawrinka holds 2-2 now. Djokovic will be pissed losing that game after having 3 break points.
And Stan takes the fourth set.
Novak 4-0 up in the 5th. All over.
