For a side that’s supposedly in a mess financially they are investing quite a lot in their playing squad - guys like Nolan and Taylor were brought to the Championship presumably by big wages, they gave Diame a big contract to sign this summer, That African striker they signed during the week probably cost them a decent bit of money as well. But you’re right about those odds, looking at their squad there and it looks pretty shit - add in the fact that their manager is shit, then there’s a good chance they will go down.
