A couple of days a week in the office would be ideal, do your meetings, get to actually see people, etc. I could probably do it every fortnight currently, but the rigmarole of actually going into the office sounds like a pain in the arse, and will be for another few weeks at least.
The odd meeting abroad would be actually be grand, for a kick-off or whatever. Maybe once a quarter. Something came in from Austria (never been) there last week that brought back a little yearning for a trip.
If we’ve any money left after Bundoran, Eurodisney in Oct. if all good. Any work gigs were offsites and they are dead in the water till 2021 at least.
Ryanair voucher burning hole in a pocket. A wedding and Brothers 40th supposed to be in Italy and Ibiza in September but cancelled or moved to Ireland/next year - vouchers will be used for that if no lads jolly slotted in.
Aviation may well be finished. Hopefully the green list allowing travel to Malta, Liechtenstein and Latvia can salvage something but the industry is in serious trouble
Remember in March when Aer Lingus went over to China and back a few times to collect PPE orders and it was treated like an act of heroism. 1 hour slot on the Late Late Show.
How did you feel Captain Barney Murphy?
Well Miriam*, I just focused on the task at hand which was flying the aircraft.
I know the whole nation was very emotional watching the footage of the flight path online.
Thanks Miriam.
Absolutely bizarre stuff. We really should have a look back thread when this over to chart the strange words and deeds of the pandemic. People just went stone mad.
