It was a wake year. Sure Lautaro Martinez finished 7th and anyone who saw him at the 2022 World Cup knows heâs not top top level. His ranking is purely based on Serie A which isnât what it used to be. Dani Olmo finished 13th and he wasnât even starting for Spain until Pedri got injured in the quarter-final. Grant Xhaka 16th lol.

Henry never got it in an era where I think Nedved and Shevchenko did. I donât think Neymar ever got it either when there was probably a good case for him around 15/16. I donât think Vini is as good as prime Neymar or as polished as prime Henry who both scored and created heavily. I think he is perceived as too one-dime sional. A game breaker but never really a creator. MBappe is similar style wise.
