Sorry, only seeing this now.

I had a fight with recently defunct bank a few years back. I ended up taking a case against them with the Financial Ombudsman. Long story but they botched our current account to the point where it was pretty much unusable for a few months. Eventually, rather than getting solicitors involved, I accepted a grand off them and immediately moved our mortgage and current account elsewhere. I think they initially offered €100, then €250. When we got the ombudsman involved they offered €500, then €750. I said I’d accept €1000 and they gave it to me.

Banks have a big chunk of money set aside for these types of complaints. Worth pushing back.

If they get even a sniff that your account is being hacked, they’ll shut it down.

In the invest tab where I have some shares etc purchased the balance is there and looks accurate…but the summary %gain is at 0 and it is the same for every individual investment …is there a glitch in it for anyone else?

Got a text from PTSB saying my card was used online to buy Apache Pizza in Dublin. Checked my account and low and behold 2 transactions totalling about 90 euro used today since 5 this evening. Upon ringing the fraud line, they said they tried a handful more times but didn’t successfully get through. Couldn’t be up to them, like trying to find a needle in a haystack trying to guess where they could have pulled my card details from. Card cancelled anyway.

Some balls now having to edit the card details on all my subscriptions and that next week. I hope the cunts get food poisoning from their pepperoni and ham slop.

That’s the most puzzling part of this whole thing is that it was just apache. Seems to have had a hot date or something this evening because the multiple orders triggered my bank to deem it suspicious.

No have the card here and haven’t been in Dublin since October. Yer man on the phone said they could have pulled my card details from anywhere from Amazon to any other website where card details may have been saved. Just a bit bizarre it was only used on Apache. And I don’t have an Apache account so it cant be that account was hacked and they just used a saved card on that.
