Funnily I heard in 2013 when he took over Ireland he trained for two weeks with the sole focus of beating New Zealand doing very little prep for the Australia game.
Goodison Park which was the site of that 1949 Eire win is being demolished next summer which feels appropriate.
An England win with lads who once played for Eire starring is the closest we’ll get to a 1949 style result.
