If anybody ever brings this up, hereās a current fact that should shut them up for good.
The Indian national cricket team has played twenty one day international games in the last two years. They have lost the toss in every single one of them.
Thatās the equivalent of backing twenty consecutive losing even money favourites. And itās a genuine one in a million chance.
Being a cynic, and having noted that Asian bookies take bets on the toss in these games, I wonder if thereās a link between most Indian cricket fans betting on India to win the toss, and the fact that they donāt!
If you started with a Ā£1 bet on the first game and doubled up after each loss, your stake for Match 21 would Ā£1, 048, 576. Might have a bit of a struggle to get on!
