Generally speaking if you are a successful punter they will either severely limit you or in some cases just ban you entirely. They pick and choose who they want to do business with. Essentially they only want to deal with mugs. This whole procedure is very common in the betting industry but your average joe soap isnāt aware of it.
I see in the RP today a guy called Benjamin Lewis is threatening to sue Betfred after his picture and passport details were up on the wall behind the counter of one of their shops for over a year, alongside pictures of armed robbers in full view of customers in the shop. The last time he was in the shop was May of last year when he took Ā£30k out of there as part of an excellent Barney Curley coup. Lewis works in IT but had been friendly with Curley for years. Off the phone there, apparently itās a problem effecting 30 Irish customers. Was told I can email in my withdrawals now though which I suppose is an improvement on having to ring up everytime. Does anyone still get calls from betfair offering them free bets and promotions and such?
