Boxing II

He might be doing enough to sneak this if he can avoid walking onto one again

Body shot out of nowhere finishes it. Riakporhe has power alright

Fucking hell. The ribs on the boy went bust.

Fair play to Warrington. Kiko is a warrior but needs to hang up the gloves now

Warrington seems a nice lad. Bizarre one sided venue. Recession beginning to bite I suspect.

Donā€™t think it is the recession @flattythehurdler , itā€™s the venue. Itā€™s the same in the point since it was refurbished, makes for a shit atmosphere actually. Itā€™s like a concert with everyone looking at a stage. The old point had the ring in the middle and atmosphere was much better. Although thereā€™s no boxing in Dublin now!

Iā€™d say you could see fuck all from the cheap seats last night.

Last one sold 20000 at elland road though iirc?

Donā€™t think he fought at Elland Road. He did fight at a rugby league stadium. That was against Lara, much hyped fight after they fought in London.

Bit like Leigh Woods. Conlon brought half the crowd to Nottingham. Good crowd from Dublin and Glasgow for undercards.

After the Conlon fight Woods will probably fight in the City Ground.

Youā€™re absolutely right. It was Selby he fought at elland road. I got the fights all mixed up.

Tommy McCarthy boxing in Manchester in 3 weeks on the Benn undercard. Be a decent fight to go to.

Trouble is itā€™s Manchester. Boxing in Manchester is the very home of the coked up scrote

Thereā€™s always a few headers at the boxing. Nottingham crowd were sound. No issues at London events.

What was the Crolla crowd like? He had such a mixed record and yet pulled in huge crowds.

Crolla is honestly by all accounts the nicest man youā€™d ever meet. He was Oldham based. The boxing draws them all out. Feral types. Bizarrely, the worst of all was Andrew Flintoffā€™s fight. Full scale riot. Thereā€™s some properly nasty people in greater Manchester. The city itself is well on the way to full gentrification, and the city council are increasingly concerned at the trouble brought in from the satellite towns. The boxing draws them all out. Gangsters, wannabe gangsters, and everything in between.
Crolla appealed to everyone because he was a tough man from a tough area, and a humble and gentle type.

Crolla always came across as a decent fella. Chased burglars from his Neighbours house and got a bit battered iirc.

Must be a good crowd in Manchester for boxing if Eddie Hearn has nearly sold the arena out for Londoner Benn.

Always big crowds, but greater Manchester has than 4 million people many of whom seem to enjoy violence

This is unbelievable

A few boxers could be going back to McGuigan with their tail between their legs.
It might mean Conlan does weight properly for his next fight

Conlon next fight will be at the Feile

Surely this hasnā€™t just passed off without the Ref being taken to task?
