I think she also still believes that if she can get some sort of Brexit deal through, she can salvage some reputation in the history books. That’s why the second vote was dangled - she can just hold her arms up and say she didn’t want it but it was the only way to get a Brexit deal through. Not her fault if the British public reject it.
Also why does Hunt want rid of her before the deal passes. He needs the deal to pass, somehow for people not to hate him for how he votes and then for her to resign. If she resigns now with no deal passed no-one can do the job.
The wail turned on her last night. She’s thick as a ditch and impervious to insult, shame, embarrassment or personal failure. She will only go if forced at metaphorical gunpoint.
I suspect the 1922 comitay will change the rules.
