What?

I don’t think West Ham will catch them. The gap is still 4 points with another round chalked off. West Ham really needed to hold onto those leads against Chelsea and Man Utd.

That West Brom team in 2016-17 managed by none other than Tony Pulis.

I’m seething I didn’t follow you in. Well done.

Henderson world class?

No but he was exceptionally powerful physically in his prime. Ideal guy to play in front of Trent.

World class at shouting at fellas to keep them alert.

I see Shearer and Lineker have said that standard of the league this year is an all time low.

Hard to disagree. @Arthur thinks because the standard is equally bad that it’s a tough league :grinning:.

But football across Europe has been declining for 4 or 5 years now.
Need more poverty

Your man Guehi could nearly win the premier league for Man City on his own.

He’s probably the most consequential centre back signing since Vidic.

You could argue if Liverpool signed him in the summer they’d have won the league.

Meanwhile premier league clubs have never done as well in Europe as they are at this current moment.

I agreed the standard across Europe has dropped, and while there is no stand out team domestically the mid to lower teams in the league i wouldn’t say has ever been as high.

It’s common knowledge that the EPL peaked in 2019 when Man City narrowly won the league on 98 points and teams 2-5 contested the two main European finals.

Arne slot was insinuating how easy it was for klopp over the weekend

A rivalry for the ages. Two managerial titans with different philosophies pushing each other on. We were lucky to live through that era.

The two best teams to ever grace the league. City just had a bit more and got a few dubious refereeing decisions but in their pomp both are miles clear of any other EPL team

As City’s most famous fans sang ā€œwe’ll see things they’ll never seeā€. What a time to be footixing between 2017-2022. The peak.

I had a look at the two teams there for the 4-3 game at Anfield in 2018. Among the stars on show were Karius, Lovren, Matip, Joe Gomez, Fabian Delph, Emre Can, Raheem Sterling, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Danilo, Adam Llana and some fella called Ragnar Klavan. If you put that 11 out on a pitch today they wouldn’t finish above Wolves.

How many of Liverpool’s last 9 goals have come from set pieces?

3 of their 5 on Saturday did anyway. Tell Arne we’ll take the point for 2-2 if he wants
