Keenan, Mack and Cheese aren’t top players.
Fin Smith just isn’t in Russell’s league attack wise. Hasn’t his passing or change of pacem
Very very few are in fairness. Bundee is a huge asset too because they can’t drift the defence as much when he’s battering straight down the middle.
Decent game that. Tough game.
Embarrassing for a winger at that level to not finish that chance. Kinghorn probably didn’t cover himself in glory either.
Lowe chickened out of that. Remarkable.
James LOOOOOOWWWWEEEEE
Kinghorns tour looks to be finished so Keenan will start.
Keenan
Freeman
Ringrose
Aki
Lowe
Russell
Gibson park
Where is that young Welsh winger from the six nations. He’d have been a classic “bolter”.
An unbelievable effort to cross the whitewash unchallenged from a yard out.
Finn Russell, Aki and Ringrose are excellent.
And Gibson park.
Lowe shouldn’t start.
Difficult game this all the same. They know the main event is next week.
Nice bit of North/South rugby and Rosey gets a try
Must be the worst lions squad of all time.
Probably an element of holding a bit back but outside of Itoje everyone has been average enough.
Disagree. Pollock has been good. GP, Aki and Ringrose good. Finn Russell good. Can’t judge them yet anyway. They’re playing a new team each game, all with an eye on keeping fresh and uninjured, against opposition who have one shot at history.
I think they’ve done pretty well.
Its all about the test games, anything else is icing on the cake like going unbeaten against the back water teams
The famed “Dirttrackers” of old.
Brumbies are a small footnote on the Wiki page of this tour. In fairness they appear to have played well today, certainly put up a performance that the noForce could learn from.
I’ve enjoyed the games so far. I think the lions have been pretty good. Lowe was poor today though, really poor tbh. Missed out on a try you’d score with your cap, and generally avoided a couple of high ball contests like a Galway forward.
Ruari o Connor is going down the route of the Farrell system is so complex the players don’t have time to learn it and he needs to pick 15 Leinster lads.
Interestingly joe McCarthy or big Joe as he is known has leapt ahead of Tadhg beirne on the basis of a few games against cannon fodder out in Australia. No such luck for Mitchell who’s out performed Gibson park but doesn’t seem to have any chance of starting a test.
Squad for the last tour was pretty rubbish too. Chris Harris, Adam Beard, Josh Adams, Sam Simmonds, Navidi all made it …none of them would be next or near this squad
