Hope you’re enjoying the imperialist pursuits this morning, Mick.
Well put it this way. I’d gladly swap it all if Limerick were to grace Croker in September.
Captain Warburton leading by example and goes over under the posts. Conversion to come will push the lead out to 22-13.
That’s the captain’s test starting spot secured.
Game on Ger
Our pack was destroyed there.
Farrell misses a penalty with his first kick after coming on.
Are these fuckers playing this morning?
Scrum demolished. Penalty to the Highlanders to go ahead.
Marty Banks unerringly slots it.
Our boys are 23-22 down with 74 minutes gone.
Penalty Loins from over half-way.
Elliott Daly is lining it up…
It drops just under the crossbar from 57 metres…
A foot under.
Joseph knocks on the crash ball from Farrell with the last play.
Our boys have been beaten again.

We lose 23-22. After the performances and results of the midweek team in Auckland and Dunedin vis-a-vis the performance against Canterbury on Saturday, the split between dirt trackers and test team is pretty much cast in stone even at this stage less than half way through the tour. Not very many out there today will see test action.
That’s a disastrous defeat for our boys, especially after being 9 points up with 15 minutes left.
Gatty’s decision to pull the captain off will be scrutinised but he needs to strike a balance between giving him competitive rugby and keeping him fresh enough to use on Saturday.
Owen Farrell is missing kicks he’d put over with his eyes closed back home.
Dan Cole was demolished in the scrum that led to the penalty that won the game.
A good night for the Highlanders but a bad day for our own Highlander, Stuart Hogg, and in his absence and Farrell’s poor kicking form, Leigh Halfpenny’s test place is secure.
Another poor performance from Jack Nowell.
Saturday’s team will, by and large, be the test team.
The 1916 tour, I think, when all our top players were being brutally penalised for going over the top in France.
Donal’s Donouts the 2017 midweek vintage are not.
