It took an armed police unit 20 minutes to react. An unarmed unit would have been there a lot quicker but I doubt they wanted to send them in considering what happened.

i thought that there’s supposed to be a 5 minute response for an ARV in any part of london

I saw the strong police presence myself last week on Woolwich High Street, by the Railway Station / DLR Station. As that piece says, Woolwich Crown Court is mere minutes away too and a couple of prisons including Belmarsh High Security prison. Loads of dodgy estates too and a real cultural melting pot kind of area so there’s police all over it usually.

Its also reported that its close to an Army Barracks / HQ. No reason they couldn’t have sprung into action especially if the guy was a soldier.

I wouldn’t have a clue, but guaranteeing getting anywhere in London in 5 minutes seems highly unlikely given the traffic problems over there.

That area isn’t too bad at all for traffic. Quite a few ring roads also. Multiple cop stations very nearby. It was in a non-peak time too. The Brit cops shat it and left it to a crowd of middle aged women to look after.

What about seeing an adjacent tower completely untouched by said planes falling on the same day. Surely even more miraculous than the other two
